The Customs Academy has been developed by the Institute of Export & International Trade<\/a>, Maersk<\/a> and the Centre for Customs & Excise Studies<\/a> to support the development of a robust and sustainable customs intermediaries sector in the UK, EU and globally.<\/p>\n

We do this by providing world-class online training courses, which are designed to fit around a full-time career.<\/p>\n

Initially set up at the request of HMRC to prepare the UK’s customs sector for trade in a post-Brexit landscape, the Academy’s suite of qualifications has since been expanded to also cater for customs professionals operating in both an EU and global context.<\/p>\n

Resource for customs professionals<\/h3>\n

As it develops, the Customs Academy will become an essential resource for industry professionals. This includes invaluable business resources, advice on industry best practice, and a virtual community of industry professionals.<\/p>\n

Qualifications and courses<\/h3>\n

The qualifications being offered by the Academy provide practical career progression routes, encouraging new entrants into the sector and providing credibility for established customs professionals through a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme.<\/p>\n

At the core of the Academy is a world-first professional educational programme that caters for the full spectrum of knowledge and skill requirements – from school leavers through to experienced professionals.<\/p>\n
